We need to move to the BEACH!!!

Last week we rented a beach house in Carlsbad. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! We were so sad to leave it. The weather was amazing. I'm really blessed that I don't feel to bad when I'm pregnant, but when I was there I felt even more TERRIFIC (except that Lucas run/walks and I can't keep up!) Lucas, Elle, and I came down on Sat, then Grandma & Aunt Lo came Mon. Lucas went home on Tues and came back with Aunt Juli & Grandpa on Thurs and we stayed until Sat. We pretty much spent most of our time at the beach, but we went to Del Mar and Sea World (those pics for another blog, since this one has a million pics.) Elle is like her momma she loves the ocean. I'm so glad we spent some time down there, I spent most of my summers growing up in San Diego with my mom and grandparents, and I really want Elle to have that too. Elle is talking a lot and I mean a lot, she is a little motor mouth, but so much fun! Lucas would distract her and tell her Nemo was in the ocean and she would go looking for him and was a little worried about Nemo. There were also some snails outside the house and she would check them out everyday, and just says "NAILS" so cute! Sorry for the novel!

Our first stop at Del Mar (yes I picked another winner!)

Sitting on our front lawn

Elle is not afraid at all of the water she loves it, but this wave took her down so Daddy rescued her!

Waving to dad on the beach.

Getting ready to build sandcastles!

Splashing around with Grandma!

Checking out to see if the waves were big enough!

Our last day at the BEACH :(

She even has her Grandpa wrapped around her finger. She got him to come down to the beach and go walking with her, and he hates the Ocean and Sand!

Hot Summer Day

We were so fortunate in Vegas to have a pretty nice June, but July is not being so nice. It's been a little hectic around here! Lucas got the tip of his right middle finger caught in the rope and it was severed at a roping in Salina, UT on July 3rd. THe good news is he won money on the steer, unfortunately the bad is he will have to have it amputated just above the top joint. So he hasn't been riding much since then, but last weekend we went up to turn his horse out and Matty and Elle were hot and whiny so Aunt Chels turned the hose on for them. They were so funny. It is amazing how much a little water can entertain 2 kids. Matty liked to operate the hose and Elle was just happy she got to get soaking wet! I'm sure Tyler & Chels didn't have to water their lawn for a week!

Matty filling up the bucket for his cousin

After awhile it was Matty's nap time so Elle got to man the hose by herself. By this point her clothes were soaking so we took them off. She had to keep filling up water for her Daddy.

Watching Uncle Ty and Uncle Marcus rope

This is how she thinks it is best to drink from the hose. Luckily it was barely coming out.

Like Mother Like Daughter

So I have to admit, Elle has a little obsession with shoes, just like her Mom. My neighbor brought over some "High Heels" for Elle to play with. She loved them and thought they were fantastic. You can't tell from the pics here, but she was super sick with the Flu that day. This was about the only thing that made her smile or walk without being carried. She then fortunately passed the flu on to me, but I have the WORLDS GREATEST Mother-In-Law so she rescued us!

She decided the hat didn't go well with the Binky & Shoes!
She could even walk in them which was funnier!
She walked all the way down the hall with them on to find Grandpa when he came in.
This was the same day and she normally LOVES baths but the flu made her crazy and she was throwing a tantrum until the camera came out and she turned on the charm for her Grandma.
So innocent and sweet...
until you tell her to get out and its bedtime!!!
