New Year New Career

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so excited for this year to begin!!! I have always wanted to be my own boss/stay at home mom, but I never quite figured out how to do it. I think I finally have a plan! For Christmas Lucas bought me a sweet Digital SLR camera. So after working 10 years in the corporate world with no appreciation I can now follow the career path of something I'm passionate about. I have now decided to become a budding photographer with a focus on Families and Children. I already feel like I'm the paparazzi with my own kids so now others will feel the same!

A great source that I have found a lot of tips from is Skye Hardwick. Her blog is very inspiring, even to newbies like me. Check it out at www.soulographer.com. Also right now she is having an amazing sale on her workbook and posing guide along with amazing giveaways.

Gone Fishing

I know I'm a HUGE SLACKER on my blog! Poor Brinley has no info posted about her ever. I guess with two and working my times is occupied! So I thought I would put up a couple pics from when we went fishing in June at Floyd Lamb. Shockingly JUNE in VEGAS was not hot it was about 80 and wonderful, so we took full advantage. We went on a little picnic, fished (for about 10mins), and fed the Geese.

Easter!

It is crazy that Easter has come and gone! IT is supposed to be warm and spring like in Vegas for Easter but it has been cold, windy, and rainy!!! Elle & Brin had 3 Easter Egg hunts, one for great grandpa Edwin's bday, a friends one at the park , and a family one at home. Too much candy for the wild girl, in fact Elle still goes outside and asks where the eggs are. So here are a few random pics from all egg hunts!

Christmas is already over????

Wow time is flying!!!! I can't believe it is almost February! Having 2 little ones really puts me behind in my blog!!! So I just wanted to share a few quick pics! Elle loves being a big sister and no one can make Brinley laugh as hard as Elle. It's hard to believe she is 4 months now! So here are a few Christmas pics!

Brinley Dell Leavitt finally arrived September 21, 2009 at 10:05 am weighing 7lbs 14oz and was 20.5 in long. I don't have too many pictures yet, becuase they are on her Grandma's camera! She is a sweet baby and so far sleeping pretty well!!! Hope that keeps up, since her Big Sister Elle never slept!!! Elle loves her baby sister and is cute with her, but not very gentle!

Here are a few belly shots my friend Claudia took last week, and a few of Elle. I can't believe how large my stomach is proportionate to my body!!! I'm so ready to meet this new little girl... and so is Elle! Hopefully she will be here on 09-09-09!!!

We need to move to the BEACH!!!

Last week we rented a beach house in Carlsbad. IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! We were so sad to leave it. The weather was amazing. I'm really blessed that I don't feel to bad when I'm pregnant, but when I was there I felt even more TERRIFIC (except that Lucas run/walks and I can't keep up!) Lucas, Elle, and I came down on Sat, then Grandma & Aunt Lo came Mon. Lucas went home on Tues and came back with Aunt Juli & Grandpa on Thurs and we stayed until Sat. We pretty much spent most of our time at the beach, but we went to Del Mar and Sea World (those pics for another blog, since this one has a million pics.) Elle is like her momma she loves the ocean. I'm so glad we spent some time down there, I spent most of my summers growing up in San Diego with my mom and grandparents, and I really want Elle to have that too. Elle is talking a lot and I mean a lot, she is a little motor mouth, but so much fun! Lucas would distract her and tell her Nemo was in the ocean and she would go looking for him and was a little worried about Nemo. There were also some snails outside the house and she would check them out everyday, and just says "NAILS" so cute! Sorry for the novel!
